- LibreOffice 4.3 is now available for Ubuntu/Linux Mint via PPA
The latest version of LibreOffice Productivity Suit is now available in it's own stable PPA. This continues to provide improved capability, including better compatibility with Microsoft Office and other productivity applications. - FFMultiConverter is now available for Ubuntu 14.04 & Linux Mint 17

If you installed the ffmpeg package, then you actually installed the libav-tools package and a program that told you to use avconv instead of ffmpeg … The transitional ffmpeg package seems to have been removed from trusty/Ubuntu 14.04”
Do NOT use the below work-around article! That ppa contains too many updated 14.04 packages– so using it could end up worse than the problem it supposedly fixes!
- Get Firefox and Phonon-GStreamer to support h.264 In Ubuntu 14.04 … firefox 30 (or newer) does support h.264 w/ 14.04
